How To Make Round Wool Braided Rugs
Do not think that it is very difficult to craft round wool braided rugs, it’s not. To start with, you need to shape the beginning of the rug in a spiral form with the centre braid measuring the difference of the length and width of the finished rug. For example, a rug that measures 6 X 9 feet would need to have the centre braid to be three feet. A rug measuring 4 X 6 feet or 8 X 10 feet would need a two foot centre braid. Simply turn the braid and fold it back an equal length creating a shape of a hairpin. Sew or lace them together side by side, so that you can reverse the rug. Thereafter in a circular manner sew around this core using a large needle and carpet thread. Make sure that you do not tug or stretch the braiding strip while you are lacing or sewing. You will get to see lovely round wool braided rugs as the outcome of all your time and effort.
