How long does it take to be hired at Kohls?

Becky K asked:

I had a group interview last Thursday and I think I did pretty good but now I’m waiting to hear back. I’m curious to know how long it takes them to hire their workers. This is a store already in exsistence (not a brand new store) and they were looking to hire more part time people and seasonal people as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have not worked at Kohls, so I can not say what their specific situation is. However, having hired people in the past, I can tell you that companies will want to review all key applicants before making a decision.

Some companies will take several days, others several weeks.

However, you appear to have applied as a general clerk. I would call the person you interviewed with this Friday if you have not heard back. Ask them when they may think a decision will be made and then wait them out.

A large company like Kohls has to be sure to cross their T’s and dot their I’s as they are a potential target for discrimination lawsuits.

Perhaps the HR people are busy, or the manager is out of town. 3 days is not too late to be out of it.

You may have to wait a couple of weeks before you hear from them again. But again, if it were me, I would call on Thursday or Friday.

Normally, group hires are notified within 5 business days.
